Came across this wicked new bar in Darlinghurst Sydney, Pocket Bar the other day who are delivering real utility to 20 somethings. On their website, they’ve got this brand belief around ‘Pocket Optimism’, which captures their philosophy of positive living and not letting life get you down, kind of nice when plenty of 20something city slickers are getting retrenched. They’ve got this great little thing called ‘Pocket Notices’ whereby if you take in a recent parking fine, they’ll give you 20% of drinks/food. So they are giving a bit of brand love. What a way to cheer you up over a bite and a beer. Love this idea, brilliant. A great example of how ‘gesture marketing’ is the way to go. Intimate gestures like this are so more powerful than how every other bar in town does discounts on food/drinks to drive traffic/loyalty. Well done Pocket Bar.
