Youth want their 15 Seconds of Fame

Youtube, Myspace and countless other video content sites has given rise to the ‘weblebrity’. Savvy youth who have grown up in a branded culture now seen themselves as brands and love self advertising. They manage their own brands on a daily basis as to the friends they keep, the parties/events they go to, what their point of view on the world is and of course what they are wearing. All it takes is a video camera and some creativity to get their message and talent out to the world. Often their ’15 seconds of fame’ is fleeting, but it does a lot for Gen C confidence levels to see their collectives viewing, voting and discussing their contribution to culture. Here’s a few jokers trying to get noticed on youtube.
